The creators of popular shows such as The Simpsons, The Walking Dead, How I Met Your Mother, and Game of Thrones have put Easter eggs in their shows for years. Only those who pay very close attention usually spot them on the first go-around. Curious to find some of these hidden treats? Check out these 25 Awesome Easter Eggs Hidden in Popular TV Shows. On the DVD cover of Season 1, you see Walt with no pants on. You can also see the same pants as White chases a barrel of money down the desert. The Walking Dead is about a group of survivors during a zombie apocalypse. In the first episode, Rick Grimes wakes up from a long coma to discover that the world has gone to chaos and is being taken over by flesh-eating zombies. In that episode, he meets some people, one of whom is a racist former drug dealer named Merle. Merle has a brother named Daryll, who ends up being a major character in the series. In the second episode, Daryl helps a character named T-Bone, who has gotten sick. When Daryl goes into Merle’s “medicine” bag, you can see blue crystals, which look a lot like “blue sky,” the drug that Walter White sold in Breaking Bad. Marshall is Ted’s best friend. In Season 6, Marshall’s father dies of a heart attack. He was 51 years old. During that particular episode, numbers start appearing all over. At the beginning of the episode, the number 50 appears in the doctor’s office. The number 40 was on Ted’s book called “New York’s 40 Greatest Landmarks.” The numbers count down until we see the cab that Lily takes to see him that has the number 1 on it when she tells him the sad news. The cab says expired. All of this is referencing Marshall’s father’s death. Pryce comments a few seasons earlier, “I felt like I went to my own funeral,” and the show’s main character “Don Draper” draws a noose on his note pad. All of this leads up to the tragic death. In one scene he mentions places people can die: “People die at their dinner table, they die in their bed, they die sitting over their chamber pots.” Joffrey died by poison at the table during his wedding. Shae, who was the lover of Tyrion Lannister, is killed in her bed. Tywin Lannister dies while going to the bathroom. Sylar, the villain in Heroes, is played by Zachary Quinto, who went on to play Spock in the 2009 remake of Star Trek. The McBain movies appear throughout the show at various times. They are not full movies, however. They are clips. But, if you put them all together, they form a very short movie. They could always be seen sitting on the same couch every week. So, how were they always able to get that spot? There is a “reserved” sign on the table. It doesn’t seem like anything, but in season 5, Buffy suddenly has a younger sister named “Dawn.” In one episode of the show, Dean holds a bat wrapped in barbed wire saying, “Dad loved this thing.”  It’s the same bat that Negan uses to kill his enemies on The Walking Dead. Before she is revealed as the shooter, the creators of the show give us a hint that Maggie is the culprit. When Mr. Burns collapses on the sundial after being shot, his hands point to “W” for West and “S” for South. We see W upside down, therefore, making it look like an “M” M. S. – Maggie Simpson.   Lily’s husband, Alexis Denisof, plays a perverted news anchor; Davis Burtk, who is married to Neil Patrick Harris (Barney), plays Scooter, who is obsessed with Alyson Hannigan’s character, Lily. Yeah, lots of drama. In the series finale, the same character asks for her help in replacing a park swing. The creators had the idea to show the same guy after getting his act together. Daryl tells a story about Merle’s drug supplier who is described as a “janky little white guy” who says “I’m gonna kill you, bitch.” Jesse Pinkman, who is a drug dealer on Breaking Bad, fits this description, and he is constantly saying, “Yeah, bitch.” In one scene that takes place in the office where Plemon’s character works, actress Kirsten Dunst walks by. Dunst and Plemons are married in real life. You may have to look closely to see it, but it’s there. Cregg was The White House Press Secretary and she was portrayed by Allison Janey. The fish’s name is Gail. Don’t believe us? Just look at Homer Simpson’s hair. On the side, it looks like an M, and his ear is a G. On  “A Portrait for Troian,” Beckett assumes the identity of a therapist helping a woman who hears the voice of her dead husband. The therapist that Beckett leaps into is Donald P. Bellisario, the creator of Quantum Leap. Along with memorabilia in this particular episode, there is stuff from previous episodes that link everything together. The show has many of the same characters from Breaking Bad, such as Gus Fring. The creators left a hint that he was coming because the first letter of each episode in season 2, spells out “Frings Back.” Many fans did catch it, though. The Netflix Show Daredevil, also a Marvel comic, takes place in Hell’s Kitchen, where there is, of course, a violent gang war. Cultural references from that time period come up from time to time. For example, when the funny kid, Dustin, discovers hidden pudding, it’s similar to when Chunk found ice cream in The Goonies. After one character says it the third time, Beetlejuice walks by the frame. In the movie Beetlejuice, his name has to be said three times before he can appear. It’s revealed in Season 5 that Frye was pushed in by Nibbler, a pet of Lila’s. If you go back and watch the first episode, you can see Nibbler’s shadow when Frye falls.
